The Fairhaven Field Guide (“the Guide”, “we”) is a fan-made, static reference site for the video game Wylde Flowers. This page explains what information passes through the site when you visit, and what choices you have. The short version: we don’t ask for, collect, or store any personal information ourselves — but our hosting provider and our advertising partner each process some data, and this page tells you exactly what and how to opt out.

What we collect directly

Nothing. The Guide has no accounts, no sign-ups, no comment forms, no newsletters, no analytics scripts of our own, and it sets no cookies of its own. You can read every page without telling us who you are.

Hosting (GitHub Pages)

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may log technical information about visits — such as your IP address — for security and operational purposes. We do not have access to, and do not use, these logs. See the GitHub Privacy Statement for details on how GitHub handles visitor data.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

The Guide displays advertisements served by Google AdSense to help cover the cost of running the site. This means:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.

Fonts

Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file, Google receives standard request data (such as your IP address). See the Google Fonts privacy notes.

Cookies and your choices

The only cookies associated with this site come from the third-party advertising described above. You can:

• opt out of ad personalization via the links in the advertising section (and, in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, via the consent tool shown on your first visit);
• block or delete cookies entirely in your browser settings; and
• use a content blocker — the Guide works perfectly well with ads blocked, and we will never nag you about it.

Children

The Guide is a general-audience reference site. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Links to other sites

Pages may link to other websites (for example, the official Wylde Flowers site). Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don’t control and this policy doesn’t cover.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change — say, we add analytics or a contact form — we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Since the site’s source lives in a public GitHub repository, every change to this policy is publicly visible in the commit history.
