📚 Glossary
A pressed and labeled collection of Fairhaven’s terms of art — the words you’ll meet in town chatter, coven meetings, and every other page of this field guide.
🏝️ Places
- Fairhaven
- The seaside island town where the game takes place — farm, town square, woods, beach, mountain, and stranger places besides. Tour it in Map of Fairhaven.
- Wylde Farm
- Your grandmother Hazel’s farm, inherited into your care. Home base for farming and much of the story.
- The Gloaming
- A twilight otherworld reachable only by magic, where the coven gathers rare ritual ingredients such as Dragon’s Blood.
- Coven Circle
- The hidden gathering place where the coven meets and casts its rituals — including the season-turning ones (Spells & Rituals).
- Ravenwood Hollow
- (spoiler-adjacent) A hidden community of magical folk revealed later in the story, added in a free update. Home of Westley Vuk and his bookshop. See Map — spoiler-marked there.
🔮 Witchcraft
- The Coven
- Fairhaven’s secret circle of witches, hiding in plain sight among the townsfolk. Tara joins early in the story (Introduction to Witchcraft).
- High Priestess
- The coven’s leader — Lina Dahl-Johnson, who also runs the Dahl General Store.
- Elder
- A senior, venerated member of the coven; Hazel Wylde holds this honor.
- Incantation
- The spoken formula that powers a spell or ritual — e.g. the Spring Ritual Incantation that turns winter to spring.
- Season Ritual
- The coven ceremony, cast at the coven circle, that is the only way seasons change. You gather offerings; you choose when to cast (Energy, Time & Seasons).
- The Wellspring
- The deep source of the island’s magic, tended by the coven. The story orbits it; this glossary won’t say more. 🌙
- Spirit Flame
- A brewed ritual component the seasonal rites require — the classic recipe wants distilled ore essence and powdered seashell (Potions).
- Keeper of the Wheel
- The role Tara later assumes: steward of the turning seasons, making offerings to the Wellspring so the ritual can proceed.
- Familiar
- A witch’s animal companion. Fairhaven’s cats warrant a second look — see Familiars.
- Potion
- Brewed magic in a bottle, from the cauldron (Potions).
🏘️ Town Life
- League of the Conscious Mind
- Cameron Conner’s society of skeptics and rationalists, headquartered in the Town Center — a running counterweight to the island’s quiet magic.
- To-Do Quests (Bulletins)
- Small requests from neighbors — grow this, cook that, deliver the other. Steady coins, steady goodwill, and the subject of two achievements.
- Relationship Values
- The friendship measure tracked for roughly thirty residents, raised by chatting, gifting, and quests (Friendship).
- Romanceables
- The eight residents Tara can court and marry (Romance).
🌾 Farming & Craft
- Garden Bed
- A tilled plot on the farm where crops grow — water daily, harvest before the season turns, because out-of-season crops disappear (Crops).
- Greenhouse
- Sheltered growing space — the indoor answer to seasonal limits on what you can cultivate.
- Crafting Station
- Any of the farm’s processing machines — loom, candle maker, glass kiln, cheese press and kin — that turn raw goods into pricier artisan goods.
- Artisan Goods
- Processed products (cloth, candles, cheese…) that sell for more than their ingredients — the backbone of the Money-Making Guide.
- Beehive
- Produces honey and beeswax — as long as flowers are left blooming nearby to feed the bees (Bees & Orchards).
flowers you don’t pick are still working — for the bees ❀
Lore aside: notice how many of these words are shared between the mundane town and the magical one — Fairhaven’s whole story lives in that overlap.
