📜 Final Chapters & Ending
⚠️ Spoilers ahead — the biggest in the book. The finale, the unmasking, the epilogue, and Year 2.
Every field journal saves its finest pressing for the last page. Here is Fairhaven’s.
Locket Up — the Final Quest
The main storyline ends with Locket Up, which begins the moment Witch Way Did She Go concludes. A wraith has possessed Vanessa, and the coven must banish it before it consumes her — and the town with her.
The set-piece is wonderful: Shelby holds a Freeze Time incantation over the town square while you hurry through the stilled streets gathering what the banishment spell demands. Verified pickings include:
| Item | Where |
|---|---|
| Otto’s Wedding Ring | Speak to Otto on the bench by the eastern staircase |
| Key to the Fairhaven School | Speak to Sebastián by the western staircase |
| Vanessa’s Gloves | On the teacher’s desk inside the school |
| Further components | Other villagers frozen around the square — talk to everyone; you can’t leave while time stands still |
Cast the banishment, and the wraith is driven out. Completing the quest rewards an Increase Magic spell for your grimoire.
The Unmasking
To face the crisis, the coven does the unthinkable: its members reveal their identities to the townsfolk, standing together in the open to defeat the threat. The grocer, the doctor, friends and neighbours — masks off, at last. It is the moment Hazel wished for all along: not a victory of witches over the town, but the two halves of Fairhaven finally standing as one community.
🎭 Who was behind each mask? (unpress this specimen at your own risk)
| Mask & title | The neighbour beneath |
|---|---|
| High Priestess | Lina — Tara’s childhood friend, and the coven’s leader |
| Farseer | Shelby — the seer living on Fairhaven’s outskirts, who came from Hungary after his family was persecuted for witchcraft; later your tutor in incantations |
| Journeyman | Damon — whose family history is entwined with the coven’s |
| Adept | Amira — the town’s devoted doctor |
| Acolyte | Violet — the lively flower shop owner |
🌸 Lore: even Cameron bends. He admits that Messenger Corne’s teachings led him astray — that he wrongly branded neighbours “Malcontents” and let the trials go too far.
The Epilogue and Spring of Year 2
After Locket Up, the Epilogue unfolds in the spring of Tara’s second year, and the story keeps growing:
- A League of One’s Own — Cameron asks for 10× Paper and 2× Black Ink to write a new set of sermons and undo the harm his old ones caused. Bring them; it’s a gentle, earned redemption.
- The Spring Fling — the town gathers for its spring festival (see Festivals & Events).
- Keeper of the Wheel — Tara’s coven training advances until she takes over the seasonal rites herself, gaining the power and responsibility to change the seasons at will.
- A changing of the guard — with the state attorney general asking pointed questions about his past fundraising efforts, Mayor Otto leaves Fairhaven, and Vanessa with him. Before going, he nominates Gloria Miranda as interim mayor until a new election can be held — and Gloria accepts.
Beyond: Ravenwood Hollow and the Free Updates
Studio Drydock kept planting after the credits. Major free updates added whole new beds to this garden:
- Ravenwood Hollow — a hidden realm that is home to magical beings, among them Westley Vuk, a werewolf who came seeking a cure for his lycanthropy and stayed on as the Hollow’s bookseller (he manages with a suppression potion — and yes, he’s romanceable). The way in is the Farseer’s quest Steeped in Mystery: repair the dilapidated boat at the lake by your farm (15× Wood, 5× Iron Ingot, 2× Silver Ingot) and craft the Fealty to the Fair Folk spell at your desk (1× Black Ink, 1× Paper, 3× Amethyst) — after which the boat ferries you between your lake and the Hollow whenever you please. A verified taste of the new quests: The Silent Treatment, in which Thomas and Marty ask you to brew a Silencing Potion so Westley’s night-time howling stops rattling the windows.
- New neighbours — Eury Sinclair arrives in Year 2 to open a hair salon (also romanceable), joining late bloomers like Kai Hoapili, who stayed on the island after Amira patched up a surfing injury.
- Endless Seasons and Romance and Magical Creatures updates — endless play past the story, new romance content, and enchanted additions to the farm’s animal pens.
Pressed here: one wylde flower, from the first spring. It has kept its colour. 🌙
