🚜 Crop Guide
A pressed-and-labeled record of what grows in Fairhaven’s soil, season by season. Remember the island’s great mercy: seasons only change when the coven performs the ritual, so you may linger in any season as long as your ledger requires (Farming 101). Just harvest everything before the ritual — out-of-season crops left in the ground wilt the moment the season turns.
This almanac is pressed from the community wiki’s field records (CC BY-SA 3.0, as is this table). Coins/day is their profitability measure: (sell price of a full harvest − seed cost) ÷ days to grow. Flowers left blooming (unpicked) also feed any nearby beehive.
Prefer to run the numbers for your own plan? The interactive Crop Profit Calculator ranks every crop by coins per day for whatever season and length of stay you choose.

The Orchard Ledger (Fruit Trees)
One seedling, bought once from Kai’s Treasures for 125 coins, fruiting forever in any season — and trees never need watering. The wiki’s coins/day for trees discounts the initial growing time:
| Tree | Matures in | Then fruits every | Fruit sells for | Coins/day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Apple | ~15 days | 5 days | 30 | 22 |
| Mulberry | ~15 days | 5 days | 30 | 22 |
| Orange | ~16 days | 6 days | 30 | 18.3 |
| Lemon | ~15 days | 5 days | 25 | 18 |
| Lime | ~14 days | 4 days | 20 | 18 |
| Pomegranate | ~19 days | 9 days | 30 | 12.2 |
Mulberry trees also give mulberry leaves (unsellable, but silkworms adore them). More in Beekeeping & Orchards.
The Profitability Ledger
Cotton, the quiet champion
Cotton is the most profitable crop in the game — about 39 coins per day — but only once you turn it into cloth. You cannot sell raw cotton at all; woven into cloth, one seed packet’s worth returns around 273 coins (community-calculated), and the fabric sells at Kai’s stall. Cotton seeds come from Thomas at his farm, not the general store. See Artisan Goods for the processing side of the ledger.
Ranked by coin-per-day
- Cotton → cloth (~39/day) — best overall, requires processing.
- Strawberry (28.7/day) — best unprocessed crop; summer.
- Fennel (24.2/day) — best of fall and winter.
- Apple & Mulberry trees (22/day) — year-round, and never need watering.
- Wheat (20.8/day) — best of spring.
Practical notes
- The Greenhouse changes everything. Thomas sets the Greenhouse Affection quest in winter: deliver 50× Wood, 20× Iron Ingot, 18× Glass, and 5,000 coins to Parker Johnson (you’ll need a glassworks in your tool shed first — start stockpiling glass early). Once it stands, Lina sells off-season seeds, and in Thomas’s own words, “off-season crops fetch a higher price, too.” Parker will also ask you to grow him 4 marigolds — a burst of sunshine for the cold months.
- Seeds: most crops from Lina at the Dahl General Store; flowers from Violet’s Violets; cotton, soybean, and spinach from Thomas; tree seedlings from Kai’s Treasures (Shops).
- Selling isn’t the only value. Crops feed Cooking, Potions, and gifts villagers adore (Gift Preferences) — sometimes a carrot is worth more as a kindness.
- For the broader coin picture, see Money-Making.
